Gillian Brown, Osteopath, and Clinic Director heads up a multi-disciplinary team specialising in spinal care, sports injuries, and orthotics.

We have teamed up to create a multi-disciplinary clinic specialising in back care, sports injuries, and orthotics.
We take a personal, ‘hands-on’ approach to relieving your pain and getting you fit again.
Based in the centre of Harpenden, we treat patients with a very broad range of conditions.
You can expect a friendly welcome along with the highest standards of healthcare and professionalism.

Gillian Brown, Registered Osteopath

Gillian graduated from College of Osteopaths in 2008. Now running the Harpenden Sportsnspinal clinic which was set up in 2008 and has become a reputable, busy multi-disciplinary clinic.

Involved in sport all her life,  Gillian competed in National tennis tournaments and played in the American collegiate tennis system after gaining a tennis scholarship and studying sports science. She still plays for Great Britain in the Masters events.

Gillian has developed specialist areas of interest in her pursuit to be at the forefront of helping her patients;

Spinal injuries, in particular, unresolved disc and stenosis injuries in the lower back and neck. Investing in the latest technology; IDD Spinal decompression therapy and Tecar therapy to be at the forefront of non-invasive treatment of spinal injuries and chronic injuries. 

Her second area of interest is Gaitscan and custom orthotics to realign patients' biomechanics to aid injury recovery and sport’s performance.

Kelly Waites; IDD and Sports Massage Therapist

I am a fully qualified Level 3 Sports Massage Therapist and Personal Trainer. I am currently studying for BOst Osteopathy at The College of Osteopaths where I have also gained a Level 4 Diploma in Soft Tissue Manipulation.

I'm friendly and professional with a warm demeanor, ensuring patients are relaxed and comfortable throughout any treatment. Outside of the clinic I enjoy touch rugby and snowboarding, when I can get to the mountains.

Marilyn Johnson: IDD Team

Marilyn has a background in Nursing. She worked in various hospitals in London then moved to Harpenden in 2003 following the birth of her children.
She worked 8 years as an out patients nurse at Harpenden Memorial Hospital before a relocation to Canada for 5 yrs with the family for a new experience!

Marilyn joined the IDD team in August 2018 and enjoys,
‘helping to improve the quality of life of acute or chronic back/ neck pain sufferers.’

Amy Perry

Qualified from University College of Osteopathy with a Master's degree in Osteopathy. 

I have a special interest and passionate in supporting those with back problems and helping those with chronic pain 

I am also a gymnastics coach working with gymnasts from 18months to adulthood specialising in those with disabilities. 

In my free time I play Underwater hockey and have previously trained for the under 25s GB women's team.
